It's no secret that Lulu, the album that Lou Reed and Metallica made together in 2011, was met with severe criticism from fans. However, there is a growing number of people who feel, based on viewing an hour-long live performance of Lou Reed and Metallica,* that the songs are strong - it's just that something's missing. And what is missing is the voice of Lydia Lunch.
If there were an alternate version of Lulu, in which all of the vocals are done by Lydia Lunch, the music would become ferocious and cruel in a way that can be appreciated by anyone who is not a stupid fuck who should die. It would be the long-awaited sequel to 13.13.
So please sign this petition. Knowing what we know about Lydia Lunch, we feel that it would actually take one billion people to convince her to try this out. We don't care if she's 90 by the time we get enough signatures. It's obvious that that this needs to happen.
