I lived here from the age 16 after being homeless as my parents split up when I was younger. I had no where to go, this place actually has help me til this day. I am now 22 1 year off gaining a law degree. Without a roof over my head and the support I received of the members of staff I would be in a very bad way. Crucial facility. What, if not this, are local councils for? Where has humanity gone? Of the Foyer goes, in the long term costs will be much higher as youn people will have lost that security and mentoring support that is so important when finding one's way.

It is false economy to close down support facilities that leave young people without support and at risk of offending. The amount is pathetically small compared to the benefits it gives

This needs to stay x I lived there in 2008 and it saved my life not only a bed and roof over my head, but the staff helped me get independent and now I have my own house, married with two great kids and if it was not for the foyer helping me I would not be here today. X thank you so much for all your work with me x I do hope it stays x

life is so difficult for young people in todays economic climate - see unemployment figures. Services for young people have already been cut. The Foyer must remain.

I have worked with some of the young residents as a volunteer mentor and have seen how crucial this facility is for some very vulnerable young Shropshire residents. We can't afford to cut the Supporting People grant - it's vital!
