This seems to be the very thing to do with NHS public money to use the land. Please do not see the land as potential selling area. We need land for food and work and wildlife and therapeutic work is part of that. Sheep graze to keep wild plants available.

Very unimaginative decision by Fife Health Board - this could be real asset to the community, with lots going on. KY15 5YR

Please allow Lucky Ewe to lease the Stratheden farm land. This is exactly the kind of community based land use we need to support. This is a unique project supporting people with additional needs. As it is already publicly owned land, there is no justification for this refusal. It is a slap in the face to the people of Cupar and the surrounding areas to refuse charitable use, and allow any other kind of commercial use. I am a Cupar resident who was brought up in Cupar, near Stratheden Hospital, and would welcome this Charitable use of the land. Lucky Ewe is a wonderful charity covering all aspects of the welfare of these animals, even to the extent of making delicious ewe’s milk cheese. It is so beneficial for people to be involved in this kind of outdoor project involving animal welfare and team work. Please support Lucky Ewe. Wendy Sharp. KY15 5BZ

The land is unused by the nhs and has been for some time and should be used to be able to support people with additional needs to gain a start with basic employable skill within the farming industry! There is currently no other service/opportunities like this in fife. KY81AW

Lucky Ewe deserves full support for access to suitable land. It is a valuable and value community enterprise - it also makes very good cheese!

I am shocked and confused that lucky ewe was refused their application. Lucky ewe is providing my daughter( who has additional support needs) with a very valuable service. They are providing my daughter with the right mind set, knowledge, experience, confidence and essential life skills (resilience, leadership, problem solving, social skills, and tools for self preservation .examples including growing own food, looking after the earth being eco amongst others) to have a fighting chance to be able to obtain a place at SRUC college and (achieve in life in general) hopefully gain the career that before lucky ewe would not have been available to her. She struggles academically and socially so achieving the minimum entry requirements for college is quite a struggle. Lucky ewe is aiding her by offering/delivering practical and real life experience. There is very few learning/ therapeutic opportunities available to additional support needs children and struggling adults alike and lucky ewe is providing that service . The mental health benefits also play a massive part within lucky ewes purpose. Animals of any kind have been proven to have a therapeutic /nurturing effect for children and adults . I suffer from anxiety, stress and bouts of depression and volunteer along side my daughter. After a few months at lucky ewe my stress levels have dropped, I'm happier in general ( my daughter also)and my intake of anxiety medication has greatly reduced. Surely this indicates that the strain on the NHS mental health services could have great potential to be reduced. Lucky ewe needs a place where they can have the opportunity to expand and offer even more activities, services and achievable goals for people who so desperately need it. As they are limited in doing so in there current location.

Lucky ewe has helped my autistic son so much with confidence issues and developing new skills

Lucky Ewe has done wonders for my sons confidence, amongst other things he has autism and has thoroughly enjoyed his time at the farm, learning a whole host of skills and also developing friendships. There are not enough things like this for young people with additional needs in the KY1 postcode area or as near to it as possible within driving distance

This amazing Charity has evolved significantly over very few years. They have very ably demonstrated just how much of a positive impact they can bring to lives touch by life’s challenges. I do hope NHS Fife will reconsider and award the land.

This is a superb charity. I cannot understand why they have been refused the land by NHS Fife!
