Lemony Snicket\'s A Series Of Unfortunate Events, the 2004 blockbuster film starring the likes of Jim Carrey, Meryl Streep and Jude Law was critically acclaimed, and has an enormous and continuously growing cult following. The film was based on the best-selling, chart-topping series of novels penned by Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler) which have sold millions upon millions of copies, and continue to grow in popularity by the minute. The highly successful film boosted sales and popularity of the series, and a sequel would only further promote not only the book series, but also Lemony Snicket\'s A Series Of Unfortunate Events as a film franchise. \"In a recent interview with http://www.comingsoon.net, Jim Carrey had commented on how he would like to return as Count Olaf in a Lemony Snicket movie sequel: That said, he wouldn\'t be against appearing in another movie based on the \"Lemony Snicket\" books, although he doubts it might happen. \"It\'s a whole new regime over there [at Paramount], so a lot of times, people don\'t like to pick up the work of the last gang. I wasn\'t adverse to doing that, but I had some things I wanted to do with that movie and I thought it fell a little short in some areas.\"\" -Jim Carrey, ComingSoon.net Though the movie may not have met studio expectations, it was undoubtedly a box-office success, surpassing $200 million worldwide, not to mention the DVD was a complete success, grossing more millions through sales and rentals. The involved studios may feel skeptical of a sequel due to the \"underwhelming\" box-office numbers, but the film was simply released before its time, but now that the film has become a critically acclaimed cult classic, the books best-sellers, and the entire cast household names, the time is right for a sequel. Please sign this petition if you agree with the aforementioned information and would like to see a sequel to Lemony Snicket\'s A Series Of Unfortunate Events.

Months of silence from the studio have been draining but I am still sending out follow up emails to anyone who will listen. It is difficult to keep pushing when there is no response from the people in charge. I am not stopping yet because the story still deserves a proper conclusion.

My childhood favorite. Everything about it was so dark and funny. Would pay anything to see another one in theaters.

I grew up with this movie and it still holds up so well. Jim Carrey was perfect as Olaf. We need the rest of the books adapted!

The movie was so good and had such a unique look. Its a shame they never made more. Bring back the cast and make it happen.

Still waiting for a sequel after all these years. The set design and the vibe of that film were unmatched. Don't let it just sit there.
