Test 1 and test 2 should be there to prepare you for the examination! The examination should allocate a fair amount of questions on all the work we covered! Theory being the most of the learning work one would expect more theory or at least practical questions on the theory we learned! The majority of the questions we were never tested on and the fact that the numeracy skills only formed a fraction of the studies (and I feel I speak for the majority of the students when I say this) for the examination most of the students focused primarily on the other sections as these were the majority of the questions in papers 1 and 2! If we were only informed to give attention to the numeracy skills and perhaps done work on them such as assignments we would be more prepared for the examination! It's not fair to ask an easy numeracy question in test 2,3 - (and note I said question as we only had one question in the tests) it's not an expectation for it to form the majority of the examination.

The administration has acknowledged the volume of this petition and requested a formal meeting to discuss current examination standards. I am preparing a summary of the syllabus inconsistencies to present during these talks.

the examination had its majority of questions that were not asked in test 1 and thus how does one test or examine your knowledge on something they did not teach you or even worse test you upon

If only we had been taught and tested on the work that was in the exam during the course of the semester and yet still do as bad as we did now, we'd accept it but right now we all feel misled and kindly request that we have a rewrite.

The paper was just unreasonable . The majority of students were misinformed and failed due to the difficult paper which the lecturer did not even give a scope or give an idea on the focus of the paper . The majority off students failed and have a low predicate.

The exam was totally different from the semester tests, I thought exams should cover everything we learnt not focus on many the curtain part which was not emphasised in class

I feel that the exam paper was not fair as indicated by the petition. And if one compares it with previous exam papers it seems that this exam focussed more on numeracy skills and Latin than theory. There was not even a long question on the theory. And I might add that no Latin questions was even asked in either test 1 nor test 2.

I think we all deserve to write the second examination as the first one was unfair
