There are over 50 homes in our valley. Our only access to internet is through AT & T as a separate phone number. It is very slow and makes working from home very difficult., plus it is expensive. Please, we need an alternative.

We live at Lemon Dam area. There is probably close to 100 households in our neighborhood, we do not have DSL fiber optic service, Cedar Networks di bring DSL to the Da, keepers house but was unwilling to extend it further because of the cost. We, as well as most of the other residents, rely on satellite service which is costly and limited sped. It is also unreliable in bad weather. Reliable DSL service would be very welcome.

North of Bayfield (Flakes) CenturyLink has a stranglehold on other DSL ISPs since CLink owns the fiber. Wireless options are impractical for many due to terrain and line of sight issues. Satellite is viable but many have LOS issues also and require long cable connections. We need alternatives that aren't monopolized.

Living in a rural area our internet is either spotty or slow. With working at home and almost all necessary activities getting done online we are in need of better service.

I have been an LPEA memeber for many years, and we've lived in the more rural parts of town for somw time as well. I'm also a social worker, and meet daily with folks in our community who lack adequate broadband access and are thus cut off from simple tasks like bill paying, job searching and staying in touch with friends and family, and accessing healthcare, which is more vital than ever during the pandemic. I voice my loud and strong support here for LPEA to become a broadband provider to help even out inequitable digital access in our area.

As someone who now works from home the majority of the work week, it has become crystal clear that our neighborhood needs better internet service. Please assist our community with this much needed service. Thank you.

This impacts where I can live in La Plata County, as my job relies heavily on fast internet, especially upload speeds, which are horrible here except with 1 provider (Spectrum) that is not available in the more rural areas of the county.
No 5g
Yes, fiber! No, 5G
We want broadband. We do NOT want 5G
