We need broadband in La Plata County! It's hard to work from home with such slow internet and very few providers.

My understanding is that DMEA is providing services to those who do not have it, are providing better service and making a profit.

large areas of Archuleta Cty. have no broadband availability, and current internet providers have no intention of providing it

We have used satellite internet for years, and it is no longer capable of keeping up with a modern lifestyle, especially during the pandemic. Video calling is not in real time, which is a problem for work and social interactions alike. My family and I would strongly appreciate anything that you could do to help bring high-speed internet to rural areas (we are in Enchanted Forest Estates). Thank you!

I tried for two months to get service from the local DSL provider after moving to our new house. They were not able to provide service as they were oversubscribed. I'm now on satellite internet which is insufficient for Zoom meetings.
