This petition calls for the lowering of the voting age in Connecticut to the age of 16. There is substantial evidence that by lowering the voting age there will be an increase of voters and that the 16 year old's of today are prepared to vote due to civics classes. Not only with the classes but with the help of the internet, the exposure that teens are getting to politics is no where near as much as older generations.

16 is a great age. We trust them on the roads to drive, let’s trust them to vote.

I hereby believe that civics and a well educated background of history is good substantial ground to permit this. 24,000 adults voted for Harambe in the election last year and every single one of them were adults. !maybe it's time we give the younger people a chance to prove themselves as responsible citizens. Our country needs them.

Teenagers seem to have better judgement than adults these days
