Lower the Voting age to 16

TO: Congress, Legislative, and ALL Represenatives We, The Undersigned, agree that the voting age should be reduced from the current age of Eighteen (18) to the age of Sixteen (16). Though the age of eighteen is the start of adulthood many teens as young as sixteen are in adult situations, such as working, driving, and living with out Parents or Legal Guardians. The Votes of our fellow Americans effect minors in the same way as people(s) above the age of 18. There are statements of George W. Bush eliminating overtime pay and shipping jobs overseas. These actions affect the families of the workers, not just the workers themselves. Weather or not the Military Forces are to maintain in Iraq or pulled out of Iraq, the decision will affect America no matter the age. Teens of the age sixteen and seventeen have as many political opinions as those who are over eighteen and many would like the opportunity to vote among the rest of America. Please change the original voting age of eighteen (18) to the age of sixteen (16). Sincerely, The Undersigned
