i am a d-c boarder line student and I have a maths tutor and I attended every revision class I can for maths and I try so hard just to get my C but when I came out of that exam I felt defeated and i was crying as I felt that edecxel doesn't really want people to pass the exam. After finishing the exam I counted up the amount of c grade questions and there was only around 4-5 giving people like me no hope in passing.

The paper was nothing like those of previous years. From q14 onwards there was a sudden change in the questions.

I found the exam board was very harsh on this maths exam this year and also found it really hard so should be lowered

Some of the questions in the Edexcel Maths GCSE non calculator paper were definitely beyond our capabilities and had never been taught to us before, which makes them extremely unfair.

Us student (15-16 year olds) have been revising by using the websites and past papers the school provides us. Now if the questions are changed so much and the difficulty of the exam is changed too much the how do they (the exam board, schools and government) expect us get the grades we have as targets? I'm expected to get a B but if the calculator paper is like the non calculator paper I'm getting a C at the most. That's predicted by looking at last grade boundaries. Lowering them will mean we get a FAIR grade and our 11 years of school life won't be going to waste!

Constantly changing the difficulty of exams is unfair to students and teachers.
