As a student who has worked constanly hard to achieve the best grades possible, this maths exam was beyond anyone's capability - even those at A/A* targets. I do not believe that the exam results from this paper will show the true ability of many young people that have worked consistently hard for this exam. It is not fair to include questions that are beyond anyone's capability, even with hours of revision. I am not the only one that feels this way and many of us feel that these results will not show our true ability unless the grade boundaries are lowered.

Non calculator paper was unnecessarily harder than usual in some cases too hard to complete , this could then effect the amount I people oh chooses to move into further education after yr11 without a good grade in maths

With the unofficial mark scheme I worked out I have not achieved the A* I was hoping for despite getting 93-98 in every other past paper. If I cannot make up the marks in the second paper I will not be able to do further maths A-Level.

I agree that Edexcel used to enable students to get good grades. But in the recent years Edexcel has made questions too difficult which students are not able to cope with. In my opinion I think that Edxcel should lower this years grade boundaries in order for students to succeed.
