Lower The Grade Boundaries For Edexcel Paper 1H Non-Calculator (04/06/15) & Edexcel Paper 2H Calculator (08/06/15)Exam

Overall I thought the paper was OK but I agree with most students that 3-4 of the questions were ridiculous.

The exam questions was very hard and the grade boundaries should be lowered

Swear edexcel will be responsible when i cant go to any of the sixths forms i applied for because i dont have a GCSE in maths ! Put in so much effort and got A's and B's in mocks but messed up questions such as Hannah and her sweets had to just mess it up ! Question 14 onwards was way too hard

How do you even figure out n2-n-90=0 and how does that question relate to 6 sweets

The fact that a large proportion of GCSE students found this paper very difficult, is testament to how unreasonable it was for edexcel to set this paper. Exam boards should be making exams that the majority of students feel they are capable of. There were too many a level style questions, and ones which were a lot harder than previous years. Lower the grade boundaries please edexcel. We've already made this viral.. And the media have caught on.

This is an absolute joke... Edexcel took the chocolate biscuit today, and it's unfair that thousands of people aim for a bog standard, C grade, which is fundamental to their future, and the questions today acted as a deterrent to them achieving the relevant marks they need, and deserve. I am outraged that the questions asked today were so advance, and were definitely things students in the lower sets, and of lower abilities were not able to answer, therefore restricting them from getting the required marks for a grade C, or even a grade B. In my opinion, and I'm sure I reflect the overall mood of the whole country, as ITV; Buzzfeed; The Telegraph; The Guardian, and many other prestigious, and highly respected news sources have commented on the over 200,000 complaints made to Edexcel today, regarding their maths paper. The government, and Edexcel should not have allowed such a horrific, challenging, and onerous paper, which even the highest achieving students struggled to complete. Edexcel need to stop, and think in the future, that these are out exams, not a game. I just hope the the grade boundaries are considerably lower than any other year, because this was the hardest maths paper I have ever done in my life.
