I worked really hard studying for this, I don't feel I could have prepared any more for it, I had to flip to the front of the exam page to check I hadn't accidently been given a higher paper. Beyond disappointed with what came up but also with not being to prepare for what came up. The questions were not covered in foundation 9-1 edexcel study books. Nor were they anywhere near close in the mock questions.

The edexcel maths paper (25 may) was a complete joke especially the final 4 questions, they were the hardest questions on the paper and were far beyond the scope of GCSE. These questions were also worth 25% of the paper which means that even if you got the whole paper correct and failed these questions you would of only gotten 75% which might be a 7 (A) but the chances of this is almost impossible

Lower grades? You're having a laugh, it's about time kids in the UK get a kick in the backside and start taking education seriously. Have you seen a lot of the youth here?

Completely agree with this, some of the questions are so difficult due to their wording and the fact that some of the questions are A-level ones makes it much harder

My son sat the edexcel maths exam in June 2016. He missed out on a C as the boundaries were very high. This grade system needs to be lowered so more students can pass. Very unhappy as he now has to resit Just for 2 marks .

I found the edexcel GCSE higher paper November 2016 non calculator quite hard therefore feel the grade boundaries should be put low, atleast 31 for a C
