Our daughter worked her socks off to achieve the best possible grade to enable her to continue studying Mathematics as an A-Level. I am just so grateful that she has a level head on her shoulders and a great sense of humour because otherwise, she may well have come out of this particular exam a blubbering wreck. All that she wanted was to have a fair crack at proving her knowledge of this subject and hopes that the hard work she's put into her coursework as well as her revision hasn't been sabotaged by a couple of super complicated exam questions. Lower the grade boundaries... Please!

As a maths tutor I have worked with students preparing them by working through past papers. It is very disappointing to discover that the level of difficulty in some questions has increased hugrly

I've done many papers before but that was one of the hardest, some questions confused me and seemed incomplete.

my son worked his socks off for this maths exam and then you blow his mind with questions that an A level student would struggle with

I Agree The Grade boundaries need to be lowered else they are going to A mass fail rate

For somebody who is very skilled in the arithmetic department, I struggled with the second half of this paper yesterday morning.

The dramatic change from question 14 onwards was rediculous. There's no way people who were just scraping C's will get them after such a hard paper. The past exams have all been fairly similar which is what was used to revise as well as similar resources. The test was cruel.

I was aiming for an A as i have gotten in all my mocks but when counting how many marks i knew i had gotten for sure in this DIFFICULT paper i just about scraped a B, seriously?!
