The amount of time I spent revising the topics and staying back after school to understand topics more thoroughly so that I can answer the exam questions with ease. Its simply just not fair, putting on irrelevant mathematical questions which are unrelated to B1. This petition needs to reach 10,000+ because AQA has not done a very good job. I feel like I'm talking on behalf of every single person who sat that exam today that a whole years worth of knowledge has been put to waste. Fair enough that AQA don't want to keep repeating the same questions, they could have asked new questions that are actually related to Biology. Nevertheless, there was only less than half marks available which were content-based. I learnt the whole specification, from Vaccinations to theories of Evolution. However, hardly anything relating to B1 popped up. This has had a negative impact on a lot of students as the questions were also quite vague and didn't give the candidate a sense of what examiners are looking for. If you look at the past papers, they all follow some sort of pattern where as this one gave lots of HSW Questions and students don't know whether or not their answers are correct.
