Lower them a bit. I can see how everyone else might find it difficult and most people would struggle.

There was not enough biology content in the exam, which made revision pointless.

I appreciate that this exam may have been frustrating for many, but interpreting scientific data and graphs is a very large part of the AQA course and it has always been prominent on the science papers. As a student expecting 9A*s, the exam didn't seem too bad and you were allowed a calculator!! At least this exam will show that we students can think rather than just regurgitate.

I recently took the biology exam. I'm disappointed regarding the amount of revision I did and the amount required during the exam. I found the paper was majority math related and general knowledge, rather than content based (the general reason of revision ). In addition, the final question regarding liver cells was useless. This was not in the content of AQA unit 1 biology. It was not found in the revision guide or even on the internet. If this question was one of which required the content, the two marks may have had the potential to move up a grade. I hope you take this into consideration during the period of marking the papers.

Biology unit 1 paper you say? More like maths and chemistry tbh (to be honest)
P.S - I never thought that Pixar's Finding Nemo would help on that angler fish question. #bioluminesence

This exam was not a biology paper, but more like a maths paper. Almost every question asked you to interpret a graph. Would have been better off revising from a maths guide.

This B1 paper was ridiculous. Half the things learned were not on the paper. I was playing guessing games because the questions were so wordy and not clear or just were not on the specification at all. The second to last question was never learned in B1 at all. I know I have lost a good few marks due to this poor paper. If I would have sat last years paper I would be flaunting an A!!!
