Lower the age limit of The Amazing Race to 18
The Amazing Race (U.S.) is a TV show loved by millions. Many Americans dream of one day taking part in this race around the world. Currently, the age limit to compete in The Amazing Race is 21 years of age. Those under the age of 21 are being deprived the experience to travel the world and become enriched in new cultures. In America, the age of adulthood is 18 years of age. Shouldn't that be enough reason to lower the age limit for the Amazing Race to 18? On the current season of The Amazing Race, which premiered in February of 2016, social media icons are being featured. Among these icons are Tyler Oakley, Blair Fowler, and Cole LaBrant. Cole LaBrant is only 19 years of age (well under the age limit of 21) and is getting the opportunity to race around the world. If he can race, why can't others under the age of 21? Being on the Amazing Race is something that has been on my bucket list since I first started watching the show in 2009. I do not want to risk having the show get cancelled before I am 21 years old. It is my dream to be on The Amazing Race, and I can guarantee that I am not alone on my stance. If you are under 21 years of age and have ever dreamed of taking part in The Amazing Race, or if you have ever had a dream that you thought was unreachable, please sign my petition to lower the age limit of The Amazing Race to 18 years of age.
