I'm 19- I'm currently paid the minimum wage for a 19 year old (£5.50) but have rent and bills to pay and have to actually live a life. I have to have 2 jobs to keep up with all this but even tho I'm paid a different wage to someone 2 years older than me I have to pay the same amount of tax on BOTH jobs as someone 2 years older than me. I think this is absolutely disgraceful- if I'm paid less than certain people because of my age then why am I expected to pay the same amout of tax? I believe that we shouldn't expect people to be paid differently because of their age, we shouldn't expect that all younger people are at university partying all week and we shouldn't expect that men and women above the age of 21 are all business people earning their share of a fair live. I want people to sign my petition as I believe in equality- that means regardless of your age, sex, goals in life, quality of life, you should should be rewarded and paid the same as we're a human beings and we all deserve the same.
