Our children need to sleep longer, by science. When does it become by law?

The current system is bad for the upperclassmen who have 3 hours of homework and have to then catch an early bus

I support pushing back high school start times. However, I do not support having the elementary schools and high schools switch start times. Having school start before 8am is not ideal for any school aged child.

I have one struggling through having to wake up at 6am and two more are following close behind. Would love to see this changed for them.

My junior son is suffering as he is chronically sleep deprived. Sleep is so important for physical and mental health and for learning.

let's do what we can, attending to what we learn from science, to schedule schools as best we can to maximize learning for the students.

I would also ask for EARLIER start times for LM Elementary Schools.

The elementary starts late and high school starts early. Seems that should be flipped.

The evidence in support of later start times for high school seems pretty overwhelming by now. The logistical challenges seem to have been met and solved by many other high quality school districts. I agree it was prudent to not be a first-mover here, but now it is time to act.

You know our students in LMSD are an "at risk" population in way they were not a generation ago. Act in the interest of their health and safety.
