XXX Lower grade boundaries for CHEMISTRY UNIT 4 2016

Why was this exam so hard?? Do AQA realise they've just screwed up our futures, we're relying on high grades to get into the university of choice and they set an exam like that. What a joke, lower the grade boundaries pls

So hard... too little time... too different from any other past paper. No mount of revision could have prepared me for that paper. Ridiculous - grade boundaries need to be lowered

Hardly any questions based explicitly on the specification. Every question seemed like it was trying to trick you. Way too dificult, the grade boundaries have to be lowered bare.

Disproportionately difficult. No reward for the hours of hard work spent doing past papers and revising from the specification. A lot of time had to be spent on questions worth few marks which left no time to check through at the end. Even the timing of the exam was different. With all the pressure this exam result has on the future of students up and down the country, it seems to me that the only fair thing to do would be to lower the grade boundaries significatnly.

Hoping for low grade boundaries

It wqs ridiculous. It doesn't really show which students are the ines that worked hardest or revised the most. You had to have gotten lucky to do well

Getting out of hand this exam like many others was too hard and unlike any avaliable revision material /past paper

I feel sad, young and confused. I just wanted a good grade in a subject I (used to) like...

No time to check so couldn't even check if I had made any little mistakes. I spent majority of my time learning about buffers and ALL the mechanisms but not anything over a 3 marker???!!!!?

Considering the amount of effort we all put in to learn the actual content it's really annoying when 5% content is actually on the paper. The paper is called chem4 not general studies

This was the worst exam aqa has made so far. Imagine, me who usually gets mostly A's in mocks having to sit such an exam. It is not fair. We've all worked so hard to achieve our best possible grades to get into a uni of our choice but this exam has shattered our dreams and doesn't reflect our true abilities. I am truly gutted and this years grade boundaries should be significantly lower.

Unfair on the students and therefore should be lowered

One of my friends has revised day and night every paper back to front at least 5 times and feels done over by this exam. Something is wrong, wouldn't you agree?

3 marks on mechanisms compared to that off previous papers having 15.. At least in some cases. Acid - base questions very vague
