Did all the past papers and continuously got good marks, I revised the whole specification but alas, the paper did not reflect the specification nor any past papers in any way shape or form. I believe I speak on behalf of the whole country.

Structure and type of questions was very different to all the previous years! Caught me off guard.

paper was ridiculously hard in comparison to past chem 4 papers, I easilly got above 90 on all of the prior but am only hoping for mid 70 on this paper

This paper was absolutely ridiculous. After preparing so much to the point of being able to consistently achieve A*s in the past papers, if no change to the boundaries, I feel like I may have scrapped a D. This is completely unfair and needs to be changed

I feel it's unfair that students chances of getting into courses could be stopped due to this inhuman paper

I felt as though everything I had prepared for was not relevant as most questions did not even need the content...I felt really worried when I came out of the exam.

Way to go AQA! How to demoralise students for the rest of their science exams!

I've worked so hard. I've spent thousands on having tutors for 2 years, I really do not want to let my parents down with a bad grade when they've done so much for me to be successful in chemistry. This is ridiculous please respect the students that have worked their backside off and now are expecting a pass grade, and not get into uni. Not everyone's AS grades can push them up to something decent

That paper was just ridiculous. No previous AQA Chemistry unit 4 papers could have prepared you for that exam. There were too many suggest questions, with not enough content based questions. There was not enough time to finish that exam either. I feel there were too many stretch and challenge questions, that were based on ideas outside of the AQA specification. There were many marks associated with these questions too. Unfairly, if you could not suggest answers to questions that there was no way you have been prepared to answer, you would have lost at least 6-8 marks. Even standard questions, such as determining order with respect to reactants were unbelievably hard.
I have been achieving A*s in all of the past chemistry unit 4 papers, and now I feel if the grade boundaries are not lowered significantly (relative to the 2015 grade boundaries), my grade will suffer as a result. I believe that 80 out of 100 should be an A*.
