We support DUSC effort to secure the fields along the East River. We live in Brooklyn and our kids are hoping to play soccer with DUSC. This location is so ideal and much more accessible for our family.

The city and state of New York must do more to support our diverse community in playing the global game, soccer. Many of our public parks and playgrounds were designed for games that were popular 30-50 years ago like handball.
Building on our heritage as the arrival point of immigrants, business people, diplomats from around the world, the favorite sport of more and more of our already diverse population is soccer.
I hope our officials in both city and state governments will support Downtown United Soccer Club’s request for the necessary field permits to further develop our youth in the global game. I also hope they will also support renovating existing playgrounds and building new soccer fields with artificial turf that can also be used for other sports like baseball and football.
