It's hard enough to get into college, but the real problem comes after receiving your acceptance letter... "HOW AM I GOING TO PAY FOR ALL THIS???" And that is a fantastic question. In state, tuition alone costs about $25,000. Out of state runs about $50,000. Room and food is another $10,000. PER YEAR. Come on colleges, really? College costs are highway robbery!!! A large percentage of students have to pay their own way to college. How are they supposed to do that? "Get a job!" Ok, sure! Just one problem. Kids have to be 16 to get a job. So they'll have about 2 years to earn their money. Their parents will then tell them to buy their own clothes and gas, so there goes a bunch of their funds. And unfortuately, kids won't get high paying jobs. Props to whoever gets enough money in those two years to pay his college costs up front with no loans. Ah! There's another problem...LOANS. Did you know you have to get approved for loans? Yes, you do. What happens though, if you do not get approved? Do you just get in for free? Nope! You're basically screwed. We are the future of America, people. How are we supposed to improve this world if we can't learn how to simply because we don't have enough money??? If colleges were forced to lower their outrageous costs, so many more people could go to college and make something of themselves and improve this world we are living in. Let your voice be heard!
