We love this pool! It's clean and small. I only wish they offered evening swims!
Please keep it open! (and add a shower in the womens' locker).

Every neighborhood in NYC should have a local pool. Learning how to swim and enjoy the water should be the norm for all of NYC's kids.

Senator Squadron knew from the beginning that the pool would be what it is - a pop-up pool for five years. He's now advocating its continuation while he also knows what it costs to operate the pool (his representative sits on the park's board of directors and should have M&O budgets and expenses). On the other hand, Senator Squadron and other elected officials are squarely against two buildings planned for the upland portion of Pier 6 (the purpose for which these two parcels were set aside). If he wants the pool to continue, he should renounce certain individuals who have asserted the park expects more than enough revenue and the planned buildings are superfluous. These individuals have dragged the park administration into court repeatedly, thus delaying the park's completion and driving up costs.
