This petition is to be able to keep a limited amount of laying hens in the town of Lovell. There will be a max. of 6 hens per household. This issue will be brought before the town council on April 14th or as rescheduled due to virus protocol.
I am truly overwhelmed by the momentum building behind this effort. Seeing so many neighbors join in is entirely due to your kindness and persistence rather than anything I did alone.

Please allow hens in city limits, I lived in Provo, Ut and it was allowed. Not sure why it is not allowed here.

Every other small town around us (and even Powell!) is allowed to have hens, we should too

Seems like a very odd place to ban laying hens, seeing as many people have tons of space for them.

Many communities allow this. It may even help with our grasshopper problems

Fine with me; had chickens as a kid, no problems. The pet that gives back.

Hens are wonderful and eggs are very healthy for everyone, allow hens in town!
