The Church should accurately reflect Jesus…as should any Christian School... And Jesus asks us to love one another. Stop leading with hate and judgement and lead with love.

Schools have nothing to do with students' lives except for education. Stop hate. Love your neighbors.

Disgraceful! This is not Christ - like at all! Sadly, it does appear to be Christian - like more and more every day.

The school and the teacher who contacted you should feel very ashamed. You, on the other hand, can hold your head high.

It's time to start welcoming LGBT people into our churches, schools, and homes. Anything short of this marks us as bigots. Christianity is the church of love. If we don't act like it, no one will believe it of us.

It is very strange that a school board chose to contact an alumni about attending a school function. Will they also be screening all other attendees for their "worthiness"? If they are singling out one particular person for wanting to simply and peacefully attend a public school function - for whatever reason - then it is clearly discrimination based on their personal biases and bigotries. It is quite shameful that a school board - who should be leading by example - has targeted this one citizen. Not only shameful, but downright bizarre. Will they also be deciding and contacting who will be allowed to attend homecoming ceremonies?

This is my old church and my brothers attended Providence in it's 1st year. This is very sad, yet not surprising coming from this church. Way to go for having this petition, awesome to try to help those after you.

Providence, please follow your own rules about social exclusion and bullying. You owe this young man as well as all of your students and staff a huge apology for your actions.
