go Bryce! Can't believe this happened at my alma mater. Christianity is all about showing love to others. The board's actions did not reflect that in this situation.

I don't know Bryce well at all, but I do support him fully and I've seen what he has done for this school; all of it was amazing.

I graduated from Providence in 2013. I don't know Bryce personally, but I am close with many of his friends. I was extremely disappointed in my old high school when I heard about the situation. I hope this will show Providence how to love and welcome others regardless of opposing opinions.

Even though as an alumni I already looked back at Providence as a system of unhealthy, fundamentalist values and Westboro-like backwardness, these recents events have brought my opinion of the school and the new and unimproved administration to a new low. Nobody should ever be treated in the hostile way Bryce was treated after coming out, not by any adult, friend, church leaders, or anyone. I agree that an apology from the school, although it wouldn't be totally absolving, would be more than appropriate.

I haven't been friends with Bryce for very long however, toward the end of my senior year I became close to him. He is an amazing person who is brilliant and will always have my 100% support. He was extremely involved at Providence and an amazing class president. I could not be more disgusted with the hateful attitude Providence has displayed. They market themselves as something they are not. True Christians would never treat another human being like this.

The actions committed by Providence are appalling and absurd, however, not surprising. As an alumni of providence who is also gay, I can honestly say Providence's hypocrisy and lack of Christlike character lead me farther away from God than anything else. This institution and those who were involved should be ashamed of themselves for how they acted and owe Bryce a sincere apology. Bryce, what you did took extreme bravery and you have my full respect and admiration.

Personally, I do not know Bryce. I do know he has attended Providence nearly all his life and to be treated the way he was is far from okay. As an alumnae I am appalled at the behavior of Providence regarding this matter. We are to love all of God's children. To condemn someone for a sin (which we are all guilty of in someway or another) is not our place, only His. I am extremely dissapointed and hope that Bryce will get the apology he deserves and this never happens again to any other students. That is all
