Providence is a highly looked upon school... I am extremely disappointed that such an institution would tell a young boy that he cannot attend schol functions for simply being himself. It hurts my heart to hear this. I am religious and believe that God supports any person in being themselves. It's the people that try to tell others how to live that are spreading evil.

Condemning LGBT people doesn’t "boldly model Christ-likeness" in the least. According to your Bible, Christ spent his time with the downtrodden, the despised, and the neglected. He cared for the least of these, and disregarded the rules in favor of loving kindness. How is acting like Pharisees being the least bit Christ-like?
LGBT students, you're not alone, and it will get better. Especially once you're free of these small-minded admins.

We have known Bryce through his friendship with our daughter and I can tell you that there is not a more excellent example of what a good kid is. He comes from an excellent family and we are proud to know him and his parents. He gave a great motivational speech and graduation and we are so proud that he is our daughter's friend. I hope Providence will really take a hard and compassionate look at how they handle these types of issues because I am sure it will come up again. Jesus loves you and we love, love, love you Bryce.

I personally know this young man and am so proud that he is one of my daughter's best friends. He is welcome in our home any time. I am sad for him that he was subjected to the insensative treatment at Providence after being such a good leader and student. I stand beside him.

It looks like he has support from the parents and students. It is time for the administration to get a clue that they are the problem. This is usually the problem when you bring in administrator's from a more conservative part of the country and insert them into Florida. The board is 0 for 2 on their last two selections. I hope that this headmaster goes away like the other one did. I know I am not the only one thinking this, I miss Mr Barfield, he was a respectable headmaster and was the only good one we have had.

Parents please dig deeply before you choose this school. In our experience, there was nothing Christian about the fear, paranoia, insecurity and hate taught here. Intimidation and threats of Hell are used to prevent deep thinking and formation of opinions. We all know this is not the first time a student has been bullied by the school.
