We the undersigned support the campaign for a dedicated Arts Centre in Louth. This would be an excellent facility for the local community and one that at the moment is sadly lacking. It would make available permanent exhibition room as well as areas for visiting artists, writers and musicians. Provide workshops, performance space and be a valuable resource for local schools and other groups. Mock the Flock realise how many talented individuals and groups there are in this area and this would not only support their work, but would encourage others as well as being another tourist venue for the area which already attracts many visitors per year. This could only be good for the town of Louth and surrounds. Louth is already building a Leisure Centre -but this is essentially only for sporting activities. Art, in all its forms, has perhaps as many if not more followers. We, Mock the Flock and our supporters, therefore urge the local councils (Louth Town, ELDC and Lincolnshire CC) to support an application to build or help fund an Arts Centre in Louth.
