Healthcare costs in the U.S. continues to spiral out of control and our outcomes are not improving. We can no longer boast of having the best healthcare in the world. We need single payer; everyone should be able to participate in Medicare.

Having spent many summers in Canada, I've seen how much more humane and effective their system of health care is in comparison to ours. Citizens should not risk losing their financial security to satisfy the shareholders of private hospitals and insurance companies. This seems to be immoral to me.

We can no longer afford the health insurance middleman commission made up of advertising and steep executive payrolls. Health insurance is holding the U.S. Economy ransom.
