No Gates on any waterway, If the boat foats from public water ways, Then you should be able to fish it . If not dame it off.

Waters that are accessible by a recreational boat should be considered public water. If the boat can float it should be public access.

Any canal that has water flowing into or out of should be accessible by the public! IF the canal is not completely land locked, State resources(fish, etc) are available to enter and then by gated off from the public. This should be and probably is illegal!

I've had this problem before. Waking up in the morning, heading to the Dead 7 canal and sure enough land owners put a gate up blocking the entrance. Hence the word (LAND). May we should put up a gate across the Diversion Canal for a weekend in the summer. Wouldn't that be the same thing?
