Louisiana Medical Professionals in Support of Informed Consent & Maintaining Parental Rights Regarding Vaccination

I should have the right to chose! We need informed consent with ANYTHING medical. We need safety studies done on all the vaccines. We need vaccines that do not have aborted fetal tissue in the ingredient list. https://cogforlife.org/

Keep vaccination recommended, not mandatory. Let patients keep their rights to informed consent.

1. I believe forcing medical care is against our constitutional rights. It is also against the ethical code medical professionals commit to abide by. 2. It is illogical to believe that unvaccinated individuals are a risk to vaccinated ones. If you trust your vaccine, it should not bother you that someone else is not vaccinated. 3. The only unvaccinated individuals we should be concerned with are those entering from other countries where said diseases and viruses are prevalent. They are ground/patient zero. 4. Over 40% of the population present with genetic mutations for which their bodies cannot filter or absorb certain elements from the environment, foods, drink, and/or medications or vaccine. 5. Newborns should be offered a genetic test (~$150) test at birth before being pressured to be given vaccines. 6. The genetic test for the mutations which reveal susceptibility should be paid for by all insurance companies. 7. Pharmaceutical companies should have no say in insurance coverage of testing for the MTHFR mutation or in FDA rulings for better ingredients in their vaccines. 8. As a pediatric occupational therapist, I have seen the impact of a vaccine injury which can severely impair function and health. As a relative to kiddos with the mutation, I've seen the lasting effects of being vaccinated with multiple vaccines at a time and compromise to the nervous system and immune system. 9. To assume that those who do not want to vaccinate are the uneducated ones (some are) is less accurate than to assume that those vaccinating are educated. Healthcare professionals should be educated on both "sides" to relay accurate, evidence based information to people before a procedure or medication is provided. 10. Where would this overreach end? Forcing care on those who don't believe in it is not just unconstitutional it is morally compromising. A price (money for pharmaceutical companies) should never be put on someone's life.

I feel as Americans we deserve the right to choose what we put in our bodies and our children. Taking away this right is unconstitutional.

Informed consent is necessary for all medical procedures

My son was vaccine injured in March of 2018. One of his vaccines he received was the first MMR. He started to present with all the signs and symptoms of autism. We are still trying to recover him. He was given a diagnosis of autism and a prescription for ABA therapy. But, I knew that wasn’t right and I found a MD who has years of experience recovering children from vaccine injury. We tested my son for the MTHFR gene mutation which he was positive for, and he also tested positive for aluminum, mercury and lead. Vaccines are NOT a one-size-fits-all. We could have lost our son.

We should have the freedom choose.

As a RN, if I had ever given a medication, performed a procedure, or in any other way done something to a patient against their will; I would have been charged with assault/abuse and lost my licensure. Our founding fathers set religious freedom in our first amendment as one of the rights that make this country so great. As a medical professional and US citizen I am appaled at what rights are being taken away and procedures forced upon people against their beliefs.

True informed consent is the cornerstone of all medical practice.

I am a RN for 14 years and think it is essential to have informed consent for vaccines and keeping our exemptions Nothing is safe for all. Parents deserve the right to choose best for their child.
