24 hour news is a hungry machine as news is consumed so click bait stories are created to keep it fed. the excuse of 'Free speech' is being wheeled out far too often.

Reports into unexplained child deaths should be published only after the findings have been made known. I support this petition and hope that this family and others in similar circumstances are left to grieve in peace.

This absolutely needs to happen: it was only when my husband did some work for the Cot Death Trust that I understood that police attending is a . matter of course; misunderstanding of this adds to the trauma for families. Reporting needs to be accountable, and sensitive.

This definitely needs to be carried out. Just because incorrect statements might be published on social media doesn’t mean traditional media need to follow suit.

The media always plead that their reporting is in the public interest. All too often it is biased, thoughtless and in the interest only of sensationalism and increased sales.

Anyone loosing a baby or small child n Ed’s to be supported and will question what they have or have not done. The pressure on them needs to be mitigated not increased.

Obviously, all unexplained baby deaths should be investigated but sensitivity towards the parent(s) is a must. A simple name change to the investigating authority will help along with some much needed sensitivity from the media. If a "Louie" law is needed - go for it!

So very sad to hear about about the death of your child. I'm horrified that the media felt it necessary to publish reports of child abuse.
At the same time I am happy that you have found the strength to survive such pain and distress.

Hi I understand your concerns really sorry but it's more about law in and press freedoms in UK than family and private life if UK laws can't change maybe eu laws can override them.
