Say NO to Rezoning of 5707 Lost Lake Rd.

Strictly opposed to the zoning permitting high density residential in this area. Also due to the nature of the development and the owner, this does not permit affordable housing. as the owner is foreign and deemed non-resident by CCRA.

The growth in the area has been significant without any thought to traffic flow and appropriate infrastructure to accommodate the growth.

There are so many areas in Nanaimo that would better benefit from this sort of development.

Unnecessary development. This is not helping the housing problem of nanaimo. This is helping foreign property owners.

There has been too much development on this narrow, rural road. The traffic increase would break the camel"s back!

This proposal if accepted will have numerous impacts on the quality of life and land use in this neighbourhood. There must be far more attention paid to what seems like reckless and poorly planned growth in this well-established community.

We have so much “blank” space in the centre of the city that needs to be occupied. Encourage and incentivize developers to focus there before enabling more sprawl via new subdivisions - which provides a drain on city services while impacting our environment.

Do not need or want townhouse or condos built on that property. Too much additional traffic as well as changing the feel of the area. tons of new single dwellings being added to the area. That is enough!!!!

This rezoning brings in 8 more families into an area where Council already approved rezoning to allow 9 other families to live on the hill above it. Is council going to put in a traffic light at the juncture of Lost Lake, Vanderneuk and Malibu Terrace Roads?
