The purchase of SITLA land by Looking Glass Arch by Moab Under Canvas will commercialize a wild space that was enjoyed without inhibition by locals and visitors to the area.

Moab Under Canvas—I have worked with you for years now. I am just one person, but I will never recommend people stay here if you make this resort. And I have always been a supporter of Under Canvas.
The land you want to turn into your resort is not only sacred and historical, it belongs to all of the people. Just because it has not been named a national or state park really doesn’t make it right. It is a place of silence and solitude; if you go forward, that will be forever ruined and gone.
I wish your company had been more forthcoming with this plan to talk with the town of Moab about this. And even people who don’t live here but love this place. The only people rooting for your project are people who know nothing of this place.

Stop the madness please. We are over run and inundated. We desperately need to help our local people/workforce to find/aquire affordable housing. Desperately.

No more bad development in Moab! What is the true cost of losing our public lands to private entities? Where will the water come from? NO MORE.

It is absurd the amount of over development of Moab & it’s surrounding areas! Where is the needed development for the locals that live here!

The area needs more sustainable development for local populations. There needs to be greater conservation efforts for land, floral and fauna protection. Tourist lodging and attractions should be the last thing on the community’s agenda right now.

Maybe SITLA could trade out this land for something closer to already developed areas. Would be a shame to have this out here.

How this is Acceptable is beyond me. Life long local born and raised here. We own a business here and have raised 2 children here. Over development needs to stop ESPECIALLY if it Will not benefit locals. Stop selling out to tourists. If you want to do something to help our community start building affordable housing. Start actually putting money towards our children’s education. ENOUGH WITH THE MADNESS!

Please reconsider exploiting the natural beauty of this arch and its surrounding land.
