In 2015 I had the amazing opportunity to climb looking glass rock. It was an easy route for inexperienced climbers in a beautiful remote desert setting. The value of such a resource for those just entering the rock climbing community cannot be overstated. We need to foster an attitude of conservation and stewardship in the fragile remote ecosystems we have come to love and climbing at looking glass creates the perfect setting for just that. Any development, of any kind, in or around the area would destroy such a unique resource for the climbing community. I urge you to reconsider and take a stand to protect the wild places we love and cherish.

Keep this beautiful area of Utah wild and undeveloped. It’s worth more in its natural state.

Looking glass is a staple for Moab Recreation on our public lands. We need to save this amazing rock climbing and rappelling destination!

This would be the development of a hotel and should be treated as such.

Keep the West wild! Please stop ruining the last truly wild places in the U.S. The wilderness belongs to all of us…not to a company or corporation. Please please don’t do this!

Tourism is a great thing but it needs to be done in moderation. This ruins a great view point in the area and there are many more places it could be done.

These plans are akin to sacrilege, but then this place is already overrun with large caravans of ORVs.. It's all so sad. Not the experience of my youth.

My family has enjoyed looking glass for its beauty and remote adventures. Please leave the site as it is.

I am deeply disappointed in the way this project was seemingly hidden from local attention. I’m glad it’s being brought to our attention now

Let people keep and enjoy the nature of this area! If people want heated or cooled tents, they can camp an RV somewhere. We need to preserve the desert in this area. people ruin everything! We all know this in one way or another.
