You gotta be pretty stupid to think that putting a “glamping resort” here is a good idea.

This is an important place to many and turning it into an extension of Moab (tourist destination) is a step in the wrong direction. Please consider working with the community instead of acting as a sole proprietor of the communities interests. I promise you this is not in the communities best interests. Jack

This project will never be accepted by the local community in its current condition. Under canvas: there can be space for you to use this land but it has to be done in a way that promotes synergy between yourselves, the locals, and the environment. You’re intended use for this land will not be sustainable if you can not connect with the environment and local community. To make peace with all those around you on this issue is your best bet at longevity. Even if you win the battle to develop this land the way you want, you will lose the war. Take a step back, release your attachments to the profitability of your prospective venture and undertake this ordeal in the most sustainable way possible. It is in all of our best interest. We will all fail or succeed as one. Take a brave step and do the right thing not the profitable thing.

Keep it wild. I am born and raised in Utah. Keep the eye sores to a minimum.

Looking Glass sees enough degradation as is, being such a popular spot. Keep this beautiful place beautiful.

In our current state of climate volatility, it is critical to preserve the natural ecosystems remaining. The intricacies of the desert seem to be able to withstand and evolve over millenial but are easily trampled by our feet in days and dismantled by our noise and light over months. The ripple effect is dangerous and critical to prioritize.

This is not ok. If you want to enjoy looking glass you have to go camp there the way it’s supposed to be done and leave no trace!

This is such a special wild place. I hope it stays wild and doesn't turn into the Hole in the Rock eyesore up the road.

The last thing this area needs is further development and exploitation.

Looking Glass Rock is a special place and a necessary escape from encroaching development in Utah's deserts. Please do not develop the land around Looking Glass Rock

Converting this land into a private glamping resort will prevent the general public from accessing and enjoying this beautiful natural feature. This currently exists on public land, and should remain that way for future generations of families and people to appreciate this beautiful area. If this becomes private property, there becomes a required price for entry that may be too high for many people who cannot afford (or are not interested in) a luxury glamping experience. Keep this space free and available for all!

This should be public land. Not pay for access and gentrified with glamping. Good intentions never are good enough.
