Since 2009, our schools have taken big cuts in the budget, and therefore the children have suffered. Now, with Common Core and excessive testing in place, there is no more creativity, and fun.
There is no more extracurricular activities; class sizes have soared; Building Administrators, Mental Health staff and Teachers have been excessed. We need to take back education for our kids.
Give the students 1/2 days on NYS Assessments; Bring back clubs and extracurricular activities for K-4; Lower class sizes in K-4; Accommodate and support parents and their children if they choose to refuse the NYS Tests.
