The SCSC has bent over backwards to comply with everything that the Long Beach city council has asked of them to make this historic race happen. Drivers in this race or any race for that matter, know the risks involved whenever they get behind the wheel of their boats in competition or otherwise. It is sad that some unfortunate accidents have happened but please don’t take away one of the few and storied venues left for boat racing.

This is a historic race, important to the community and businesses . It should not be cancelled due to racing incidents, that’s racing. They didn’t close Daytona Speedway when Dale Earnhardt was killed did they?

I've been going to this event since the mid 70s. One of the most exciting and fun events put on in Long Beach. Great family entertainment, well run and very popular. Long Beach we want this event.
