there needs to be a safe place to drive the race boats or it will be on any lake in an unsafe environment sort of like street racing with cars

Been racing there close to 75 years or more ,in some form or another, and I believe that this should be called a “National Tradition”, no way should it be closed down! Come on, use common sense please!

We need to maintain Long Beach Marin Stadium open for racing, one of the most iconic races in the country, it’ll help maintain and support Long Beach culture, and the economy of the city, please help us promote the sport, sign the petición and share with all racers and espectador that have enjoyed boat racing for generations.

Hello Mayor and City Council members, we appreciate your hard work for the City of Long Beach and the great city it is. I ask you to please keep the boat racing in Marine Stadium. I have been attending this race for over 30 years and have many friends who actually race in the event. The one thing I would like to point out about the boat races is that is 90% all families who race. Racing is a way of life and is their blood and it’s hard to explain, but the people who race know the dangers but won’t stop racing as it is their life. These boat racers are all about family and are a family of racers who travel and help each other from race to race. You will never meet a better group of people and urge you all to reconsider and let the races keep going and to come down and meet all of the families involved. You won’t regret it and for all the spectators there with all of their families enjoying the racing. Again it’s a way of life you may not understand until you’ve been and meet and get to know the people who race.
