This is no different than NASCAR, NHRA or even the Baja 1000. This race is a long standing tradition for the City of Long Beach along with the racers and their families. We understand the risks that come along with climbing in our boats to go racing. Please keep our family tradition alive. For us this is like not having Thanksgiving.

Please allow the races to continue at the great Long Beach Marine Stadium. My father raced there in the late 1960's and this annual event is one of my favorite memories of what my father accomplished. Thank you.

I've been going to this race for the last 17 years. Now my kids have been going for the last 9 and 6 years and are starting to get into racing. Please don't let the future generations dreams die, because of a couple unfortunate events. Each one of the drivers, family, crew know the possibilitys of the unknowns when they strap into they jump in these Hot Rods. Please don't let these these two amazing MENS legacy die because they went out of this world doing what they loved. I would completely understand canceling the event if it was spectators that where injured or worse, but that has not been the cause. Please don't let these 2 amazing mens love for racing go in vain, and please don't kill future generations of kids dreams by canceling this event. It is the closest place for event like it kind that can reach those future generations. Respectfully Chad Green Race in peace Gregg Duff, Jay Hart

This race is grandfathered in your city charter and it should be held like it has for decades. How about the City Council do their job and stop putting up roadblocks to this great race?
