A staple of Southern California culture. We cannot lose this race to political pressure and the few residents who can't handle a weekend a year when the race has been there long before them. Also the hypocrisy of citing noise pollution while also supporting the Long Beach GP every year is ridiculous. As far as safety concerns go, every spectator and competitor understands the risk associated with power boat racing. This marina used to support racing several times a year. The compromise has already been made, one race weekend a year. Leave it alone!

The City of Long Beach has not done its due diligence in not meeting with Ross Wallach to review last year’s event. As a life long city resident, a 26 year retired city employee and family of three generations of boat racer’s at Marine Stadium we need to continue boat racing in Long Beach.
