I have grown up going to the stadium with my father watching boat races since 1957. We had our summer water ski club meetings on wednesday nights and as kids we would have swim races across to the far shore and back in the dark. great memories. 1958 to 1965.

Born and raised in Long Beach, used to ride our bikes to the stadium for races in'60s and '70s. Became a Crackerbox and Prostock racer because of that. It Is Long Beach History and the Legacy of the stadium to be used as it was intended! As a driver who has raced on the stadium water, there is no safer course on the circuit. I know first hand, Scott Houghton P12, PS12!!

This race goes back three generations in my family and existed many many years before anybody currently involved with the decisions being made. I have confidence in our promoter to mitigate risk to the degree desired by the city. We all humbly request that you continue this tradition as it’s roots are deeper than practically any other event in the LB community. Thank You!

Allow racing in Long Beach. As in all racing there are risks for those who participate as a racer or spectator. Look at other racing with the same levels. But huge draw and financial gains.

Boat racing at Long Beach is a form of entertainment. If the City of Long Beach puts an end to that entertainment, it is sending a message to the City pf Los Angeles to put an end to movie making in Hollywood which is another form of entertainment.
