Whereas Catholic Radio serves the needs of Catholics and people of faith throughout the country; and, Whereas Catholic Radio is the only reliable source of news and information that deals with matters of importance to Catholics and other believers; and, Whereas in order to be effective Catholic Radio programming must be faithful to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church; and, Whereas the establishment of local Advisory Boards could act as censors and forbid Catholic Radio stations to air programs that do not conform to the agenda of Board members, Therefore I Petition you to reject the proposals put forward in the Report on Broadcast Localism and Notice of Proposed Rulemaking ... especially the idea of establishing local Advisory Boards.
