The countryside around Overstone is being decimated. I object to this application on the grounds of negative affects on air pollution from an increase in road vehicles; light pollution due to more streetlighting and the appalling negative affects on wildlife.

I agree the centre is required but not with what is proposed to be put there.

Isn't there already a petrol station? Why is another one required and why all the unnecessary additional shops and units. Also the proposed site will be opposite Aldi can you imagine the traffic!! It's already a nightmare and Aldi hasn't even opened yet or indeed all the other houses aren't occupied yet! The amount of junctions planned to come off the road is asking for trouble as it is. The plan seems more like building a service station for the A43 than for local services. We already have good existing local services, a Post Office in Overstone, a petrol station in Moulton and other small convenience stores in Moulton. Originally when planning was put in for all of these new houses a doctors surgery and nursery was within the proposals. This is a necessity to the residents of the 3000 plus houses within the new developments, as the existing Moulton Surgery cannot cope with numbers as it is. What is now proposed is not of any benefit to the residents at all. When permisson was given for the development it included a doctors surgery and nursery and a few small shops. Somehow it has now changed to a service station for passing motorists!

The access to this site will cause mass congestion causing a risk to drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. The plans are still also for a concrete fast food junk yard with no community benefits other than a nursery.

I agree with this objection. Overstone is not a suitable location for a "motorway service station' clone.
