The planning application WND/2021/0860 has been officially rejected. I am hollowed out by this long struggle but deeply grateful that we held our ground against this development. Keep your eyes open to ensure this land remains protected for the future.

We object to the hybrid Planning Application WND/2021/0860 submitted for consideration for detailed approval for site access, provision of a petrol filling station with convenience store: two food & drink units (with drive-thru lanes), retail units & 119 parking spaces & public access routes. Outline application (with matters of scale, access & layout to be determined) for an employment unit; a nursery, 21 parking spaces and public access routes.

Reaching this level of support has been a long and exhausting process but it proves that people are finally noticing the scale of this development. I am tired of fighting this battle alone and seeing your names attached to this cause gives me the strength to push forward.

A second petrol station in this area is completely unnecessary and can hardly be in line with policies that are looking to imminently phase out petrol and diesel vehicles. The impact of increased traffic on local routes does not seem to have been adequately considered.

Cars spewing from new school and off A43 means long queues outside Aldi and proposed new development as Overstone residents and others cannot get access to roundabout. Dangerous, madness and a planning debacle!

This proposed development has all the charm of a motorway service station and especially the intended drive-thru outlets make a mockery of all the talk of "sustainable" and "modal transport shifts". A recipe for disaster: Litter, dangerous traffic levels, noise and pollution! We object strongly!

I object to this application having lived in the village for over 20 years I am saddened that it is being destroyed with the amount of traffic cutting through the villages over the last year increasing pollution, accidents and loss of our beautiful trees and countryside.

You have not listened and changed things following feedback from the previous plan, you have changed the things that you would always be happy to change ..... more open space, well done but no mention of the objections to the outlets and why on earth would a fuel station there be a good idea!?

The access to this site will cause mass congestion causing a risk to drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. The plans are still also for a concrete fast food junk yard with no community benefits other than a nursery.

This is unsuitable and unnecessary

Where can residents get together with friends and relatives? Where are the social and medical facilities? We are all struggling to obtain face to face appointments and the local GP Surgery is already struggling, how will they cope with all the stress of stretching themselves even thinner than they already do?
