In less than 18 months we went from “2 weeks to slow the spread” to “take this vaccine or you can’t feed your family”. It only gets worse from here, endless boosters, a registry of the unvaccinated, shove the “dirty” out of society. The union is paid to protect us and should not be requiring any member to take a vaccine and the union also should not be working with or helping any company imposing this, you work for the workers, not the companies.

I am free. I make my own choices. No one will decide what I put into my body but me.
Just like no one will influence or sway my decision on who I vote for. That's my choice and it should have absolutely no bearing on my employment status.
I have worked hard as an essential worker through the entire pandemic, used a mask a all times when in public, and isolated myself when I have needed to, to keep my fellow brothers, and Alaskans safe. I have done everything I can do to look out for my fellow Americans health and safety, and I will continue to do so.
But I WILL NOT be forced to take a brand new vaccine, with less than 5 years of long term safety studies, just because the man, who is questionably in charge, says I need to take this or be fired.
We have rights as Americans, As Workers, and as Humans, and I will hope that my Union representing workers rights will have my back on this issue and on keeping my personal rights and freedoms in tact. ✊
