The faculty and administration at Linn Mar high-school have decided to only allow half of the senior class parking at Linn Mar. Although they have allowed for off campus parking and a gravel lot site, both locations will not be suitable for students to walk from during the winter. This petition seeks to give upperclassmen priority in the on campus lots and make underclassmen use the off campus sites. Please help our seniors get through one of the most stressful years of their lives and sign this petition!

I was looking at that gravel lot again today and honestly it is just going to be a muddy nightmare once the first real snowstorm hits (which feels like it could happen any day now) so I really do not know what the admin was thinking when they put that plan together. My mailbox is exploding with messages from other seniors who are just as worried about the walk as I am so I am trying to get a meeting set up to show them exactly why this is a bad idea.

I really did not think we would see this kind of momentum when I first wrote this out during a study hall. It is honestly kind of surreal to see so many of you feeling the same way about these parking lots and the freezing winter walks we are all staring down.

linn mar offers classes and other opportunities such as MOC and I was privileged enough to get a job through MOC and will be arriving late to school every day. Do they expect these people to park off campus and walk in -20 degree weather in the winter? Ridiculous
Seniors shouldn't have to worry about not getting parking, juniors and seniors have jobs and off campus classes. What happened to seniority??
I think it is ridiculous that they would give a pass to one freshman most who are not even 16 rather than giving it to legal drivers
I would have been pissed if I wouldn't have been allowed to park on campus when I went to Linn-Mar. There are many freshmen and sophomores who will rarely drive and use their spots while I always had trouble as a junior and senior finding parking spots when returning from my time release.
This is not at all fair to the upperclassmen who have worked hard and earned this right. All seniors should come first, then juniors and so on. the seniors deffinetly deserve to have on site parking spaces.......why should a freshman get a parking permit over a senior? That is not at all the right thing to do.......

Totally agree. As long as all seniors have a quality parking spot I could care less about where all the others park.

Prioritize Seniority, those with Kirkwood Classes, Time Release, and those with other activities that require a mode of transportation to get to and from school. Upperclassmen don't even get a bus by default while Freshmen and Sophomores do, yet they get passes, which is unfair.
