- نحن المنظمات النسائية الأعضاء في المركز الإقليمي العربي للاتحاد النسائي الديمقراطي العالمي ومنظمات نسائية أخرى فاعلة غير منضوية في الاتحاد؛

- نحن أيضاً هيئات ثقافية وإعلامية ومنظمات جماهيرية واجتماعية واتحادات نقابية ومهنية

إذ نعلن أنه، في الوقت الذي تنخرط فيه النساء في منطقتنا العربية في عملية التنمية للنهوض بأوطانهن، ويبذلن اليوم قصارى جهدهنّ لمساعدة مجتمعاتهن للخروج من الأزمة الصحية الخطيرة التي تسببت بها جائحة كورونا ومانتج عنها من تفاقم الأزمات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والمالية التي تعيشها بلداننا ؛ تتعرض النساء والفتيات في المنطقة لأشرس عنف أسري، زادت حدته بفعل الحجر المنزلي !!

لذا نطلق نداء عاجلاً لتحرك سريع للقوى الديمقراطية في بلداننا العربية،للضغط على الحكومات والمجالس النيابية من أجل :

1) تأمين الحماية للنساء والأطفال من العنف الأسري المذل والقاتل الذي استفحل ليحصد العشرات من الضحايا في الآونة الأخيرة .

2) الإسراع في إقرار قوانين رادعة للعنف ضد المرأة، تتضمن بنود حماية فعلية وتحدد عقوبة مشددة، كفيلة بإيقاف العنف وردع إجرام المعنف.

3) تعميم ثقافة قائمة على المساواة في الحقوق والواجبات، مستندة إلى منظومة حقوق الإنسان، ثقافة بديلة عن تلك المستقاة من أعراف وتقاليد متخلفة، تحكم الرجل بحياة المرأة منذ الولادة وحتى الممات وتشرع العنف ضد النساء.

4) جعل مكافحة العنف ضد المرأة ضمن استراتيجية الدول العربية لمكافحة جائحة 19-COVID.

5 ) كما نوجه دعوة عاجلة إلى قيادة الاتحادالنسائي الديمقراطي العالمي لإقامة حملة تضامن مع النساء في المنطقة العربية، المعرضات للعنف القاتل،وتعميم هذا النداء على منظمات الأمم المتحدة والمحكمة الجنائية الدولية ؛ آخذين بالاعتبار موقع الاتحاد في المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للأمم المتحدة "الأيكوسوك"، وبصفته أيضا "كمراقب" في الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة ؛ وذلك للضغط على

الحكومات العربية لإقرار قوانين رادعة واتخاذ تدابير حماية قانونية واجتماعية وأمنية لوقف العنف الأسري والحد من معاناة النساء في المنطقة العربية فورا .

A call for pressure to protect women and children from domestic violence in Arab countries

We, the women's organizations that are members of the Arab regional center of the International Women's Democratic Union, and other active women's organizations not affiliated with the Federation

We are also cultural and media organizations, mass and social organizations, trade unions and professional associations

We announce that, while women in our Arab region are involved in the development process to advance their homelands, and today they are doing their utmost to help their societies out of the serious health crisis caused by the Corona pandemic and the result of it exacerbating the economic, social and financial crises that our countries are experiencing; women and girls are exposed In the area of the fiercest family violence, it was exacerbated by domestic stone !!

So we are making an urgent call for a rapid movement of democratic forces in our Arab countries, to pressure governments and parliament for:

1) To provide protection for women and children from humiliating and deadly domestic violence, which has escalated to claim scores of victims recently.

2) Expedite the adoption of laws that deter violence against women, which include effective protection clauses and establish severe penalties, to stop violence and deter the criminalization of violence.

3) Mainstreaming a culture based on equal rights and duties, based on the human rights system, an alternative culture from that derived from backward customs and traditions, which governs the life of women from birth to death and legitimizes violence against women.

4) Making combating violence against women a part of the Arab Countries' strategy to combat the 19-COVID pandemic.

5) We also extend an urgent invitation to the leadership of the International Women's Democratic Union to launch a campaign of solidarity with women in the Arab region exposed to deadly violence, and to circulate this appeal to the United Nations organizations and the International Criminal Court; taking into account the position of the Federation in the United Nations Economic and Social Council "ECOSOC" Also "as an observer" in the United Nations General Assembly; to press

Arab governments to pass deterrent laws and take legal, social and security protection measures to stop domestic violence and reduce the suffering of women in the Arab region immediately.
