my son lloyd edward butler died whilst in the care of police custody on the 4th of august 2010,if the police had taken care of lloyd that day and carried out their duties and followed procedures that are there to be folloewed, lloyd would have been given the chance to be with us today? lloyd was actually very ill that day,he was placed in a cell and left there to die? the police failed in thier duty of care to lloyd,the police officers reponsible must be made accountable for their poor and dissgracefull behaviour and lack of respect,the paramedics were only called when lloyd was found dead in his cell, how could this happen, but the police will tell a different story? a cover up of the truth? well i am his mother and I have to live with the guilt that I requested their assistance with lloyd that day, not knowing that the police would have just placed him in a cell to die like that, what did they do for him,he was supposed to be checked? due to his poor condition? they did nothing? the paramedics were called when lloyd was dead? he was dead on arrival to the heartlands hospital? the police will tell another story, covering up the truth, well I will tell the truth, I am a mother and I will fight lloyds corner for him. I know i have a great battle ahead of me, I have met other familys who are in the same position as we are. we are in 2011, this should not be happening to our sons. STOP DEATHS IN CUSTODY. I DO BELIEVE THERE ARE DECENT POLICE OFFICERS, I have met some in the past, but these officers who were on duty that day, should not be in the job? and i hope they are made accountable for their behaviour on the 4th of august 2010,maybe thay would like to explain to me lloyds mother why they did nothing to help him while he was dying.
